And The madness Continues ...
Ahh yes, another weekend gone and it felt as if I had no time at all. Saturday was nothing but a blur as 4 comerades joined together for the fellowship of the LAN as they traverse through strange lands such as Stalingrad and Bocage and the streets of tunisia. Only in the hopes of getting a glimpse of the enemy so as to obliterate them. The point?, nothing but mindless chaos and for the bragging rights for whence these great competitors next congregate amongst the caffeinated hotspots at work. The gladitorial feats of tht saturday night/sunday morning still buzzing in our heads as we remember those bitter hours of virtual war.
Sunday was a surreal day as I emerged from my cocoon I had created for myself to recover from the night before. I must say that once I did wake up I felt extremely rejuvenated, and realised how good I truly felt once Drew and I actually got to the basketball courts. For the first time in about 8 outings I was able to beat Drew in a 1-on-1 competition. Yes thats right, my might 5 foot 8 inch self was able to beat Drew who stands at around 6 foot 1 inch. My plan?... purely to run around him and exploit his lack of pace and fitness compared to mine. The rest of the day was nothing much other than the fact that we decided to start on the 5000 piece Ravensburger puzzle. I consider the 1000 piece puzzle as my warm up lol.
It's Monday today and work has just breezed by, had nothing but meetings all day and discussions on how to tackle a feature I want to add to my java software that I am writing at work. What I did realise is that my next 4-6 weekends are completely choco-blocked. Infact I am double booked in a few of them. Must remember that I am heading back to Melbourne this weekend. Hehehe .. not that I'd ever forget.. I get to see my baby again, my beautiful gal that I haven't seen in a month. God it's hard but everyday I spend here is for her (and for us), so that we can have the future we want. But enough of that soppy stuff.. she's prob tired of hearing it. (Nah.. women are like sponges when it comes to complements.. they just absorb it all up. I would have said suck it all up.. but ppl have rude minds :) ).
Now to finish this long blab .. I mean blog.. here's another funny email I got at work.. funnily enough, it once again has to do with AFL. This times it's funny/stupid quotes from those cranially enhanced Fottballers who play this magnificent game of ours :).
